Vivien's foray into fashion began on the catwalk, as a part-time fashion model in 1978. Her stint as a model led to a Diploma Certificate from the Singapore Associated School of Dressmaking and Arts in 1983. After acquiring significant experience and exposure working with several leading fashion manufacturers in Singapore, Vivien ventured out on to her own into the field of fashion retailing.
Her keen eye, in-depth knowledge of both retailing, distribution and manufacturing aspects of the industry and passion for fashion led her to Hong Kong and Europe. She was one of the earliest fashion retailers to source for attire from Hong Kong and also the first to source couture from Europe.
Today, Vimac Trading and Services is one of Singapore's leading importers of high fashion wear from Paris, Milan, USA, Hong Kong and Vivien's own design VIVIEN NG EAST MEETS WEST, Marzulio (Italian Ties For Men)

Vimac Trading and Services are also carrying latest designs from the Amit GT collections. The designer, Amit Gupta joined NIFT in the year 2000. When he was in his first year of the college, he was a winner at a prestigious international competition for young designers called 'CIAE International Fashion Awards'.
